Off the hot seat cause he's out on the street! According to an article at si.com, D'Antoni will not be back with the Suns because of his belief that he has no support from owner Robert Sarver or GM Steve Kerr.
Steve Kerr released a statement denying this claim. Many are speculating that Steve Kerr will have several demands regarding D'Antoni's coaching style if he were to stay. For example:
1. Coach will devote more time to defense during practices.
2. Coach will give more touches to Amare in the post.
3. Coach will address the problem of no back up point guard.
4. Coach will play more of his bench.
According a source close to D'Antoni, this conversation took place back in NOVEMBER! Apparently D'Antoni told Kerr, "Don't tell me how to coach my offense!" This article is supposed to run in this week's Sports Illustrated.
Whatever is true and whatever isn't, doesn't really matter. It seems like D'Antoni would rather quit than be fired. If he quit he walks out on $8.5 million. If he quits, the Fredstrom would like to help him pack and hold the door open for him.
The Fredstrom really likes Doug Collins for the job. He is a valley resident and knows the Suns extremely well. When you watch a Doug Collins/Suns game (or any game that he calls) you can hear how intelligent he is with the in's and out's of a team like the Suns. That's one reason why TNT puts Doug Collins in the booth for Suns games. He's got mad game!
Coach K would be another choice that the Fredstrom would support. His resume speaks for his amazing basketball IQ. There are very few college coaches that get the kind of respect that Coach K gets from the NBA community. Just ask Rick Patino. Only problem might be that D'Antoni or Colangelo could steer him away from being the captain of Planet Orange.
It is rumored that Toronto's GM Brian Colangelo (who brought D'Antoni from Italy) fired his head coach to make room for D'Antoni?
Who do you like? The Fredstrom doesn't want any Eddie Johnson votes either! Agree? Disagree? Why? BRING IT! oh...and don't forget to vote: )

No Eddie Johnson votes? boooooo! I think it's time to change your background color for the Dbacks... a nice Sedona red!
Already done did it! Did you see that Brandy's dad, Avery Johnson got canned yesterday? That didn't take long...it seems like Duh'toni could be next if he doesn't make some changes. The Fredstrom is ready if and when the Suns call. E, you like my Truffle Shuffle?
Check out this article from ESPN 'A requiem for the S.S.O.L. (seven seconds or less) Era in Phoenix. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/080501
RESPECT.
The Fredstrom just read the Simmons article. It really shed a lot of light on how bad of a job Suns owner Robert Sarver did and continues to do. The author points out several, and the Fredstrom means SEVERAL big mistakes that Sarver has made. Very good article..the Fredstrom recommends it.
It looks like the Suns and D'Antoni will part ways. It also looks as though Rick Carlisle will be going to Dallas. What are the Suns going to do?
Report out of L.A. are that Kobe is going to win the MVP. First the Fredstrom isn't sure how that stuff always seems to leak, and second Kobe doesn't deserve it. Just read the past blogs/comments about Kobe's value to his team as compared to CP3. Pao Gasol has changed that team, not Kobe.
Truffle Shuffle is SUPER SICK
