First let the Fredstrom say that he is glad that no one claimed his ticket for today's game.
As soon as the game started you could feel that Raja Bell was going to take this team on his back if it killed him. He come out with 7 pts. and 2 rebs. in the first 2 minutes getting the Suns off to a hot start.
Dumping the ball into Boris created double teams and great ball movement resulting in the long lost art of the 3 point shot-9/20 from downtown.
Props to Boris Diaw for playing like we knew he could.. 20pts. 10 rebs. and 8 ast.
Interesting observation for the Fredstrom- throwing the ball into the post albeit Shaq or Boris created better offensive opportunities for the Suns than watching Steve Nash run circles all over the court with Bowen draped all over him.
BUT IT WAS THE DEFENSE THAT WON THIS GAME.
Duncan made 6 of 18, Longoria 7 of 17, and Womanu only attempted 8 shots.
Shaq played Duncan especially well. Boris guarding Longoria proved to be the right adjustment. Way to go D'Antoni...oh wait he didn't make that move. Grant Hill was injured defaulting Boris to the assignment. Good help defense, good rotating, good overall team defense. Let's hope the Suns can continue to make San Anstinkio uncomfortable on the offensive end.
The Fredstrom can't wait to see the Suns back in Phx on Thursday night!
On a side note...Did you see that NBA commercial that was half Nash half Ginobili? Talk about grossing the Fredstrom out! Disgusting! The picture below is not for the faint at heart.

speaking on behalf of the home-viewers, i did throw up a little in my mouth when i saw the commercial, then rewound it to watch it again, i don't know why... it was like a car crash, ugly, twisted, sad, but you couldn't help but slow down to look...
Wow....the Big Kayak isn't such a bad writer herself! Rewinding it? Was that a good choice? That sounds a lot like being asked out by the Globo Gym Ben Stiller character. Glad you like the blog...keep chiming in!
I don't know...the Shaq/Kobe one I think is a close 2nd. (maybe you haven't seen it yet, or you are just choosing to forget you even saw it...I would if I could.) Unfortunately, I work at a restaurant brimming with Laker fans (gag) and have to deal with all of that, but I digress.
Although I only saw the game as I delivered food to the hungry masses of Dewey, it was AWESOME to see that game tonight.
And on the Nash/Ginobli ad...I'm just happy I wasn't carrying any plates at that moment because I was lucky enough to be right in the middle of the bar when it came on...
The Fredstrom did see the Shaq/Kobe video and wasn't as bothered. Manu is an actor, Nash is a baller...Manu plays the refs while Nash plays basketball. Shaq and Kobe both play hoops so it's not as bad.
By the way, dumping food and beverages on Laker fans is totally okay!
earlier today I tried to respond to the blog...but alas, the blog is smarter than I am.
As I was driving around the greater phoenix area this morning I had a total american top 40 casey kasem moment. so here is my long distance dedication... It goes out to 'the fredstrom' the song is 'basketball jones' by cheech & chong. it totally should be your blog's theme song.
ps: i might get in trouble if i were to "accidently" spill but it might be totally worth it.
pss: as i write this, the ad in question just aired...you win...you always do...goulet!
The Fredstrom will have to check out those lyrics. Will they still be appropriate after the lights go off on Planet Orange? One positive is that the Fredstrom won't have to see that Manu/Nash ad anymore!
maybe they will just make you laugh and make you look forward to another season...even if it seems a long way away.
