If you voted blow out you were right! Another good win for the Suns. Don't look now but that's 4 in a row. The Spurs have dropped 3 straight, Utah and New Orleans both lost their last game, and the Suns find themselves 5th in the West. Things are getting interesting!
As the blog title suggests, Giricek is making some noise with the Suns. He is settling in very nicely. He brings some defensive toughness and an offensive aggressiveness that Planet Orange really needs. Mini props for now to Mr. Kerragious for making this deal, also this should show D'Antoni that his bench can't contribute or shine if they stay in the black hole known as the bench.
The Fredstrom will be adding 2 new questions. He better hear from you NCAA fans on this one!
The standings below do not reflect the results of the Laker/Rockets game currently in progress. (Rockets up by 15 at the half) Winner earns top spot in the West.

Juiceman has voted...Suns will go 7-0...Also like the bench...Eventhough the Juiceman is tired of 3-D, I like the fact the Coach put in Brian Skinner. He needs to stay with a four man rotation off the bench. THat would be nice for the run to the FINALS. JuiceBox says you need some variety and able to change it up some. Also notice a lot of smiles comming from the Suns. It is finally time this team had some fun. I still say look-out for this team. THey are PEAking at the right time. Sorry to say it again, but we need to remember the Giants, sorry T. O.
Jenni…Backster...ANYBODY!!!
In the midst of watching various animal- and gender-ambiguous maskots, a coach that was wearing a suit that could only be described as “pimpin”, and a Suns bench-warmer wearing white nurse-issued orthopedics, I saw the game of basketball played at its finest (albeit w/o a free shirt…)
You ARE right Juicebox, the Suns ARE peaking at the right time. While the efforts of the Houston Rockets are commendable, they are not concerning. With only a single game separating the Suns from the Pacific Division lead, I like the idea of our team gaining some sort of home court advantage in anticipation of the playoffs.
While enjoying the fellowship of friends and food Saturday night, I saw a championship caliber team that is seemingly overflowing with confidence and swagger right before my eyes. Did I expect it? No. But like a barnacle that has attached itself to a while, I am certainly enjoying the ride.
Piece!
The Juiceman is trying to stay positive in this fallen world....BUT I HAVE HAD IT!!!!Alright all you Sundevil Alumni. How can the Evil empire down in Luteville make the dance and OUR ASU boys get left out. Didn't we beat them twice this year in conference play. PATHETIC..too much money taking over the college ranks. True the devils probably wouldn't have gone far, but that is not the point. THEY deserve it. Where is the Fredstrom, we need a national investigation on this matter. There is too much money being pump into that university. ANy guesses on how much money and recruting losses would have occured if the Wildcats didn't make the dance. COme on all you subscribers let's hear it....OK I am done and going off my soapbox!!! there are too many fish to catch at the lake to worry about the dance anyways. IF anybody is looking for the Juicebox I will be at the lake this week trying to qualify for the 2008 Bassmaster's championship. The Fredstrom's blog is out of control, we are know featuring fishtalk...any bassmasters out there on the blog. I need a good fishing report...GO SUNS!!!!!
The Fredstom isn't going to address fish, T-Shirts, or bubble teams right now. Even though it is March hypomania, there are some thoughts about the NBA MVP that he needs to address.
Planet Kobe can't be an MVP candidate and here's why: Yesterday in the biggest game of the year for them Kobe shoots 33% only scoring 24pts. and 2 assists in 47 minutes. The Lakers are 16-3 with Gasol (.842 winning percentage), before Gasol the Lakers were 29-15 (.659%). So the MVP of the Lake show should be Gasol not the Most Valuable Baby-Kobe, who leads the league in technical fouls. Only 3 other players shoot more foul shots than he does. Kobe shut up and play!
Each game Kobe contributes 28 ppg and 5 apg. That's 38 pts. per game. CP3 averages 21 per and 11 assists. That's 43 points per game. Paul also is leading the league in steals and does all this in 3 less mins. per game. More thoughts to come later.
Are you saying that Chris Paul is the best PG in the NBA this year?
Yes, that is what the Fredstrom is saying. The Fredstrom is seeing the results to the MVP poll and feels the need to educate the readers. The best player on the best team isn't always the most valuable, ie. the Detroit Piston championship teams, just a good team overall. They all made each other better. Kobe has made the Lakers a little bit better when Gasol arrived but Kobe is a scorer, a selfish player, a teammate can be wide open and he will shoot a turn-around fade away in the corner over 3 defenders. That's why they had to make the Gasol deal. Kobe can't get it done by himself. What you think Hypo?
CP3 Monday Night-15-21 (71%) shooting for 37pts. 13ast. 3stls. CP3 has led the Hornets to 30 wins against the Bestern Conference. That's 4 games higher than anyone else in the West. Only Planet Green and The Pistons have won 30 or more against their respective conferences, and let's face it, the East stinks. Just look at the standings.
The Fredstrom isn't saying that he's the MVP. He's just above Kobe. The Fredstrom just isn't sure who to vote for right now, still observing.
So you're saying Chris Paul is a better point guard than Steve Nash? In other words, if the two players were traded and Paul went to the Suns and Nash went to the Hornets, do you think that Paul would fare better?
Fredstrom wouldn't make that trade today only because of the time it would take to gel together. If it were the beginning of next year, absolutely. Nash is a year or two past his prime but is still the second best point guard in the league which is nothing to be ashamed of.
There is one huge advantage of having Steve Nash...he is crazy clutch. D'Antoni has been setting up plays for Barbosa to get the big shot at the end of games, but think about how many big shots Nash has hit. CP3 hasn't been in many of those situations and no playoff games either. Experience-Nash, Future-Paul.
Squirrel, you think the Fredstrom is schizo affective?
